The voice and talent of the late Jackie Wilson was so far above his
peers that there was no real comparison.
From what I have read about him singing the song Danny Boy he was not
too happy about singing the song and took a little while before he would
agree to record it.
In the time he spent examining the lyrics and tempo,I am sure he wanted
to put his voice to it in a way that could never be duplicated or much
less be topped. He did that and then some. The much, much too short and
tragic life of Jackie Wilson brought forth some of the greatest
recordings anyone could ever sing.
